Mall O Ween

Tonight we did something different.  As soon as Mark came home we jumped in the van to trick or treat at the mall.  The candy is mediocre, but one can't beat the convenience!  We were done and home in an hour, maybe less.

A regular platypus....

PERRY the platypus!

Megan the peacock.  Yes, I painted her face!

The spoils

Yes, this is what my front room looks like.  Sigh.  This room will be empty in another week.
We've decided it's time for a change.  We hope to move across town...which is about 40 minutes from where we live now.  Lots to do before we can put our house on the market!

The Girlies

When I cleaned the garage I found balloons...the girls had a super fun time with them.

Oh The Clutter

Every time I am stuck at home I go through a cleaning/painting craze afterward.  This first happened when Megan was sick years ago.  I ended up painting half our house.  This time I was stuck home with my rib.  Now I'm de-cluttering our house.  After seven years we have sure accumulated a ton of items we do not need.

This is our den right now.  Sadly, this isn't even half of what I'm taking to Goodwill.

The girls' room all clean...except for those few items under Kendra's bed...which will go.

Kendra posing on her bed.  I haven't changed her room since she was a baby!  Yeah, that will change soon.

Kylee finally has a tooth!

Surviving

Here's the latest and greatest from the Vickers clan.  My ribs finally feel like they are healing.  At first when I was adjusted it felt like hot fire.  It was so painful!  Then, a month later, Mark shared the viral flu with me.  Oh the agony!  My neighbor gave me a breathy thing, (she's a nurse) and upon seeing how little I could get the blue thing up said I had "smokers lungs."  Now I can get it up to 2000, but I still have 500 more to go before Wednesday.

This is how the girls watched the LDS general conference:

I gave Kylee a strawberry in that meshy thing.  She loved it - so much so that she wouldn't let me take it to give her another one.  Megan thought it was hilarious and tried to take it from her too.

Preschool

I'm a little slow these days...Megan began preschool at the beginning of the month.

Her person she created:

Super cute backpack!  I love it!

Poor Meggie, preschool wears her out.  She is up early with her sister and often falls asleep on the couch an hour or two before bedtime!

Rain

Wow.  The rain.  I mean...WOW!  I feel like I live in the Pacific Northwest.  Albuquerque had 3.35" of rain in the past few days which is a third of the annual amount!

Here is a video from a neighboring town:

Here are some pictures from our arroyo.  I have NEVER seen so much water!  Apparently not many people have because tons of people were stopping on the main road to take pictures and videos.

I dislocated a rib...it's a long story, but basically I'm a fun mom who was throwing my four year old up and when she came down she kicked me in the ribs.  *Pop*  It made me so happy to have my mom come down and friends who helped me through this.  I'm still seeing a chiropractor, but I'm much better.

I'm so close to crawling!

I'm in the 90th percentile for height and 25th for weight!

Pollywogs

How do people not know what pollywogs are?  They call them tadpoles 'round here.

We had a river in our arroyo after a good rain storm.  It left a pond and frogs could be heard croaking for a few nights.  Now we have pollywogs.

 I love how Megan poses
Mark caught one and brought it home.  The girls call him 'taddy'.

Another cute hairstyle:

Our camera is on it's last leg.  See the black in the picture?  Sometimes pics don't turn out...they're just black.  It has been dropped one too many times.

Sandia Sunset

Our mountains are beautiful in the evenings. We took this picture from our backyard.
